Newly bought water cups and kettles will have the smell of food-grade PP plastic due to the plastic mold opening at the factory. This is a normal new product smell. You can use the following methods to remove the smell the first time you use it.
1. Boiled water deodorant method
Clean the inside of the cup with a neutral detergent first, then pour boiling water into the cup, leave it for two hours, and finally clean the inside of the cup.
2. Milk deodorant method
Clean the inside of the cup with a neutral detergent first, then pour two tablespoons of fresh milk into the cup, tighten the lid of the cup, and leave it for about four hours. Finally, clean the inside of the cup.
3. Orange peel deodorant method
First clean the inside of the cup with a neutral detergent, then put the fresh orange peel into the cup, tighten the lid of the cup, and leave it for about four hours. Finally, clean the inside of the cup.
